Who we are
Conferio Ltd (‘Conferio’) is a small, independent event-organising company, originally set up as a hobby, which also makes charitable contributions to a number of causes. The group name by which Conferio’s races are entitled is ‘Trionium.’
The data that we hold
When entering one of Conferio’s races, you gave us some personal data, including your date of birth, your address and email address, and any medical details that were relevant to the race. You may have given Conferio Ltd other data as well.
What do we do with the data
We will use the data to carry out direct email marketing for future Conferio/Trionium events. The lawful basis we use for this processing is ‘Legitimate Interest’ for ‘direct marketing.’ This is covered in the GDPR. The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) recommends that companies using this basis conduct a ‘Legitimate Interests Assessment’ (LIA), and Conferio has done this.

Your data has come directly from you, as a past or present customer.

Name, date of birth, age on race day, shirt size, medical information relevant to the event, address, gender, club, next of kin, next of kin contact details, your mobile telephone number, and other data.
What we do with the information we gather:
We require this information to provide you with the services that you have paid for when entering the race, and in order to conduct the event in a safe manner.
In addition for the following reasons:
In order to personalise and tailor our services for you;
In order to periodically send promotional emails about upcoming events, newsletter or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided;
In order to communicate with you.
You may unsubscribe or opt-out at any time.
How long will you keep my personal data?
Conferio will not keep your personal data for any longer than is necessary in light of the reason (s) for which it was first collected (see above, ‘What we do with the information we gather’).

We are committed to ensuring that your information is fully secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
